This morning, the staff at Automotive News announced that BMW, Intel and Mobileye have aligned in hopes of accelerating self-driving technology.

The BMW group recently announced that it has won its big to supply the LAPD with a fleet of 100 BMW i3 electric vehicles, a great step toward a greener Los Angeles and great news for the BMW brand. There was a trail period during which the BMW i3 was tested alongside other electric vehicles (EVs), but the i3 was ultimately selected over the competition.

Continuing in the tradition of other performance models, BMW has announced that there will be a special edition BMW M4 limited to 700 units meant to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the BMW M3. ”Going green” has never been easier or more convenient, because BMW has just formally confirmed that the 2017 BMW i3 will be getting a big boost in terms of range and battery capacity, and with range anxiety destroyed, that means more gasless miles traveled.
