As the burgeoning Chinese automobile market continues to expand, intelligent automakers, such as our favorite luxury brand, BMW, are committed to keeping up with this market's trends. Recently, BMW announced that it would be debuting a new brand in the country called Zinoro, or "Zinuo" in Chinese.

So, what does Bert Smith BMW, serving the Saint Petersburg, FL area , know about this new automotive brand? Well, we've heard rumors that the new brand will kick of its production lineup with an EV (electric vehicle), which will likely take the form of an SUV. We've also heard that the fledgling brand's products won't be quite as luxurious as those sold in other markets, as they'll be specially constructed in China for Chinese drivers.

Following the new mystery EV will be the BMW i3 plug-in city car, though this vehicle shouldn't be close to anything we see coming from the "Zinuo" brand. According to reports, there's a chance the new brand may be exported to additional global markets, so it will be interested to watch the direction it takes in concern to its products. If BMW does decide to take this route, its own luxurious name will not be attached to the more stripped-down, affordable products.
