The BMW 7 Series is a full-size luxury sedan with a legacy of blistering speeds and exceptional craftsmanship. Several different models are available to choose from. The standard 740i boasts a 3.0L engine and 48-volt battery with 375 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque that work to deliver a top speed of 155 MPH and an acceleration from zero to 60 MPH in 5.2 seconds. Rear-wheel drive capabilities and an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters are standard. An all-wheel drive model, marked as the 740i xDrive, has improved acceleration and traction. A 760i xDrive model, with a 4.4L turbocharged V8 engine, reduces acceleration time to 4.1 seconds on the strength of 536 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque.
For anyone who prefers clean and efficient performance, two enhanced electrical capabilities are also available. A plug-in hybrid model called the 750e generates 483 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque to deliver a top speed of 127 MPH and zero to 60 MPH acceleration in 4.6 seconds. For the most efficient performance, the i7 M70 has dual all-electric motors with 650 horsepower and 749 pound-feet of torque.
