Sure to be one of the more popular picks across the X5 lineup, its entry-level engine -- a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder -- is altogether exquisite.

Good for a hearty 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, the engine syncs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The xDrive all-wheel system, meanwhile, is optional.

And we definitely appreciate the fuel economy of the base six-banger, too. When had in rear-drive form, for example, it'll achieve 21 mpg combined (18 city/25 highway).
