What do we here at Bert Smith BMW enjoy about our beloved Bavarian brand's all-new sports coupe, the 2016 BMW M2?
In truth, just about everything. To us, it was clear even at first blush that the automaker hit a homerun with this one.
And so, with that in mind, we now turn your attention to the clip below. Pair up with AutoGuide.com Features Editor Sami Haj-Assaad, as he takes BMW's newest bad boy for a test run:
One could easily argue that the M2's drivetrain -- a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder -- is alone worth the price of admission. Boasting a beefy 365 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque, this six-banger is offered with your choice of either a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional seven-speed automated manual DCT.
It also can put down the 0-to-60 mph dash in the blink of an eye; a DCT-equipped M2, for instance, arrives there in a blistering 4.1 seconds.
For more information about this dapper dynamo, or to take the wheel of one, we invite you to swing by our Saint Petersburg, FL showroom. Our seasoned staff is available to address your every question regarding the M2, or any other BMW model throughout the current catalog.
