After seeing this video of drivers at the BMW Performance Center, you can be sure of what our three genie wishes would be:
- black leather driving gloves
- cool-guy sunglasses
- and to be transported to the BMW Performance Driving School for their driving program
This is no ordinary driving school, with beat-up old out-of-production sedans, bumper stickers, and cantankerous old teachers who smell of moth balls. This Driver's Ed is like nothing you've ever seen before--drivers old and young can sign up for a program, to push a new BMW model to its limit around corners and down straightaways, whip into drifts, and practice their defensive driving skills in a safe environment. Take a look!
We think this is an awesome idea. Loss of control, whether you're(skimming on water or loose road) is frighteningly common, and can happen to anyone. And, without programs like this, drivers won't experience it until they're in an unsafe situation. We hope to see the next BMW Performance Center open up closer to St Petersburg, FL!
