BMW is most well-known for its vehicles that you can find here in our Saint Petersburg, FL, but everyone knows that motorcycles are part of the portfolio, too. But, did you know that boats were at one point? And, that BMW set out to make one using one of its rarest and most celebrated vehicles as inspiration?

The boat was styled after the iconic BMW 507, and even used the engine, and other parts from the vehicle for inspiration. It's basically this classic car in convertible form, as a boat. It was made in the 1950s, but suddenly disappeared, and was seemingly the stuff of urban legend, until Felipe Garcia, a BMW enthusiast heard about the boat, and set out to track it down.

He did, and the boat was restored, and the final product is mesmerizing, just like our new BMW lineup, and BMW vehicles throughout time.
