If you've been a fan of the BMW brand for a long time, chances are that you'll recall the Bavarian automaker's flagship coupe from the 1990's. The BMW 8 Series first appeared on the automotive scene in 1989 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and is now celebrating its 25th birthday. To honor this stylish two-door, the BMW brand is taking a look back and interviewing one special owner of a model in this exclusive video found below.
The first 8 Series featured a 5.0-liter V12 engine under its hood, which generated 295 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. During the coupe's decade long run, 30,621 units were produced, 120 of which were brought to the brand's Munich headquarters to be displayed in celebration.
