The 2010 M3 Coupe comes in a few different packages, but the base model costs about $60,575 which can be quickly inflated with add-ons and sports packages.
The M3 does not lack power. It has a 4.0 liter V8 that produces 414 horsepower at 8,300 rpm and 295 lb-ft at 3,900 rpm. The M3 also comes with a Rear Wheel Drive option where the transmission is matted to a fast responding six-speed manual.
From an environmentalist point of view, the fuel economy on the new M3 is not the greatest, coming in at 16/17.5 mpg, but that's why BMW makes a hybrid. Regardless, the M3 can boast a 0-60mph time below 6 seconds which is the true reason a car buyer would choose the M3.
Options on the all new BMW M3 include a "Technology package" with M Drive, comfort-access keyless entry, navigation - that's an additional $3,250. There's also a cold-weather package including ski bag, heated front seats, and retractable headlight washers at $750. A "Melbourne Red" metallic paint addition can be yours for $550, and carbon leather interior trim ($500) iPod and USB adapter ($400) are also available.
