Tom Cruise will be driving a BMW in the next Mission Impossible movie - MI:4.  According to BMW blog source Scott27 and worldcarfans.com, "the next-generation BMW 6-Series will be featured in the upcoming fourth installment of the Mission Impossible film series - Mission Impossible 4: The Ghost Protocol."

Reports state that the new 6-Series will be included in some of the (hopefully many) film's car chase sequences and that Tom Cruise, star of the MI franchise, was privy to a private introduction of the next 6-Series at BMW's headquarters in Munich, Germany.

While BMW hasn't announced what engine powers the concept, the production model will likely offer a 300 horsepower 3.0-liter inline-six, a 400 hp 4.4-liter V8, and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel with 204 hp and 245 hp. BMW will also introduce the 570 hp M6 and possibly an ActiveHybrid variant.

Mission Impossible 4 is currently filming in Dubai and in the UK. Aside from Cruise, the film also stars Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, Josh Holloway, Paula Patton and Michael Nyqvist. It's slated for release on Dec. 16, 2011.
