The Vision Concept takes to the road with Greil and a his fellow engineers as they run tests on the car in Germany. Videos available online show the team driving the car, trying out various turns and road conditions. It's also entertaining for the BMW enthusiast to witness
The concept's diesel engine and plug-in hybrid combination includes a 5.0-liter 507 horsepower engine. The engine would be paired with an 80 hp electric motor at the front axle, and a 50 hp motor on the rear axle.
The front motor is capable of a short burst of up to 115 hp. The lithium-ion battery would be capable of a 50-km all-electric range. The battery needs 2.5 hours of recharge time when plugged into your average wall outlet.
